

Our Winter Driving can be quite stressful, and sometimes deadly, when faced and confronted with driving in ice, snow and freezing rain. Drivers need to know how to cope with and handle our road conditions when confronted with the above. The two main hazards of winter driving, among others, are loss of traction and poor (bright winter sun) visibility.
Students will learn:

How to’ Free’ the car by ‘Rocking’ it;

How to identify ‘Black ice’ and what cause it;

The different braking techniques;

How to stop on an icy road;

Driving on very slippery roads;
·
Testing for tractions;
·
Emergency and useful equipment to carry at all
times;
