LARRY’S DEFENSIVE DRIVING SCHOOL
Larry’s Defensive Driving School is committed in generating better, safer, law-abiding and defensive drivers on our roadways, highways and freeways. Larry’s Defensive Driving School’s Programs have been designed to help you become a better and safer driver. Safe driving requires the adoption of an attitude toward operating a motor vehicle known as defensive driving. A defensive driver takes every reasonable precaution to prevent traffic mishaps, over and above what is required by law. Accepting personal responsibility is the key.
Most people understand road safety, yet many develop bad habits that can be dangerous. Students will learn to recognize the need for and benefits of defensive driving. Defensive driving involves both legal and personal responsibility. Students will be able to identify risky driving attitude and behaviours. Students will also be able to identify if a collision was preventable, as well as, familiar with this Defensive Driving Course Collision Preventable Formula.
BECOMING AWARE OF CONDITIONS
Students will be presented with driving skills and techniques to use in avoiding collisions and violations caused by vehicle or driving condition.
MAKING SAFE CHOICES
Students will be taught techniques they can use to maintain control in adverse driving situations. Students will be able to identify the benefit of occupant restraint systems, explain the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving ability. Students can identify physical and mental driver conditions that may affect their driving.
UPGRADE YOUR SKILLS
Students will become familiar with the skills and techniques that allow them to avoid collisions and violations. Students will also learn to identify the common types of driving errors that contribute to collisions. Students will be taught how to make safe and legal turns, evaluate and overcome the hazards of passing and how to avoid a head-on collision.
